SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Office 97 Small Business Edition is not recognized as a qualifying program by the Compliance Checking Program (CCP) in the PowerPoint 97 upgrade version.

CAUSE

The Microsoft Office 97 Small Business Edition is a newer product than PowerPoint 97.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem and install the upgrade version of Microsoft PowerPoint 97, contact Microsoft Technical Support for assistance. Refer to the product literature or your support center for the technical support number. You can also obtain the support phone number for your product on the Microsoft Support Web site at http://www.microsoft.com.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
