Microsoft has made available a PowerPoint Viewer for 16-bit Operating
Systems (Windows 3.1). You can use the Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer to
display PowerPoint slide shows under Windows 3.1 if you don't have
Microsoft PowerPoint installed on your computer. PowerPoint Viewer
is available as a self-extracting archive in the Microsoft Download
Center.

For best results, you should save the presentation in PowerPoint 4.0 format from within PowerPoint 97 or 7.0. To do this, click Save As on the File menu, and select PowerPoint 4.0 in the Save as type box.
