CAUSEThe Pp7trans.dll file that PowerPoint uses to translate files to PowerPoint 4.0 format is not year 2000 compliant. RESOLUTIONMethod 1To work around this behavior, use a date format that formats the year as four digits, such as "Saturday, January 1, 2000."Method 2To correct this problem, obtain Microsoft PowerPoint 97 Service Release 2 (SR-2).STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
