SYMPTOMSWhen you print a Microsoft PowerPoint slide that contains an embedded Microsoft Excel worksheet, the borders of any AutoShape in the printed worksheet appear heavier than you expected. CAUSEThis behavior occurs when the Print inserted objects at printer resolution check box is not selected (click Options on the Tools menu, and then click the Print tab). If the Print inserted objects at printer resolution check box is not selected, PowerPoint prints the embedded Excel object using the existing screen metafile. This metafile is not guaranteed to print correctly on a device with a resolution that differs from the resolution of your screen. RESOLUTIONTo correct this problem, before you print the slide, click to select the Print inserted objects at printer resolution check box (click Options on the Tools menu and then click the Print tab). MORE INFORMATIONMicrosoft Word does not exhibit this behavior because Word always renders metafiles the way they look in print preview.
