Q230746 PPT: Viewer: Presentation Macros Don't Run
Use a variable to store the string data you want to display in a message box, or directly access the string data, instead of using a code fragment such as the following code example:

   With ActivePresentation.Slides(1).Shapes.Title.TextFrame.TextRange
      .Copy
      MsgBox .Paste.Text
   End With
The following sample demonstrates both methods:

   Dim strTemp as String
   '...
   strTemp = ActivePresentation.Slides(1).Shapes.Title.TextFrame _
     .TextRange.Text
   MsgBox strTemp
   '...
   Msgbox ActivePresentation.Slides(1).Shapes.Title.TextFrame _
     .TextRange.Text
