VIZACT: Applying Transition by Using Select All Command Misses Absolutely Positioned Objects

SYMPTOMS

If you use the Select All command on the Edit menu to select everything on a page, and you then apply a transition effect, such as Fade, to every item on the page, absolutely positioned images and Autoshapes do not use the transition.

CAUSE

If you use the Select All command and then apply transitions, the transitions are only applied to inline items. The transitions are not applied to any absolutely positioned items.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, follow these steps:

1. Open the page in Vizact.



2. Click to select the absolutely positioned item.



3. Apply the transition to the item.



4. Repeat this procedure for each absolutely positioned item that you want to apply a transition to.
