SYMPTOMSAn unwanted backslash "\" appears and prints in a conditional field's result. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
Commas and quotation marks serve special purposes inside conditional (If)
fields. A backslash immediately before one of these characters inside a
field indicates that the character following is not functional but is meant
to be displayed. The first instance of one of these display characters
works correctly and only displays the quotation mark or comma, but
subsequent instances of \" or \ cause both characters to display and print.
