When you open a file attached to a template that has a custom toolbar, the toolbar may appear to be truncated on the left rather than the right side. CAUSE
The Menus show recently used commands first option in the Customize dialog box is selected. When you select this option, Word prioritizes the buttons and places the most recently used buttons on the toolbar first. In other words, when you use a button that is not displayed on the toolbar, Word moves that button to the toolbar, and then moves a button that has not been used recently to the More Buttons list. (To access this list, click the arrows at the right side of the toolbar.) RESOLUTIONTo have Word display the toolbar buttons arranged in a specific order, turn off the Menus show recently used commands first option. To do this, follow these steps:
After turning off the Menus show recently used commands first option, you may have to reposition the buttons the way you want them to appear on the toolbar. To do this, click Customize on the Tools menu, and then click and drag the buttons to reposition them where you want them to appear. Additional query words:
