WD2000: VBA: ActiveDocument.Background.Rotation Causes IPF

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the following Visual Basic for Applications command,

ActiveDocument.Background.Rotation = <Any Value>
the following error message appears:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
When you click Details, an error message similar to the following appears:
WINWORD caused an invalid page fault in module WINWORD.EXE at 015f:300b3306


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
