SYMPTOMS
When you drag a table row to the row beneath it, the contents of the rows remain unchanged. For example, if you select row 1 and drag it to row 2, the table stays the same.
However, if you select row 1 and drag it to row 3, the table looks
like this:
WORKAROUNDTo work around this behavior, use either of the following methods. Method 1: Use a shortcut keyPlace the insertion point in the first row, and press ALT+SHIFT+DOWN ARROW. It is not necessary to select the row before doing this.Method 2: Move the lower row upSelect the lower row and drag it up to the first row. Example

To select the entire row of a table, move the mouse pointer to the left of
the table and click once. Or click a cell in the table and then, on the Table menu, point to Select and click Row.
