WD2000: Text in Text Box Is Missing and Truncated When You View the Document in Web Layout View

Text placed inside a text box is truncated or is missing when you view your document in Web layout view.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, you can use either of the following methods.
Method 1: Resize the Text Box
- Select the text box.
- On the Format menu, click Text Box, and then click the Size tab.
- Under Size and Rotate, change the Height and Width measurements, and then click OK.
NOTE: You may need to repeat steps 1 through 3 several times before you achieve the desired result.
Method 2: Convert the Text Box to a Frame
- Select the text box.
- On the Format menu, click Text Box, and then click the Text Box tab.
- Click Convert To Frame. Click OK to the message box warning you that formatting may be lost when you convert the drawing object.

Microsoft Word 2000 provides two types of containers for text: text boxes and frames.
A text box is static. Its size does not change as you type additional text
inside the text box. Instead, the text wraps below the bottom of the
text box. The text below the bottom of the text box is not printed or
displayed in online layout view.
A frame is dynamic. A frame automatically grows to accommodate the additional text that you type inside the frame.
