SYMPTOMS

Text formatted with a heading style, number style, or bullet style is not displayed in the document map.

To view the document map, click Document Map on the View menu.


CAUSE

This problem occurs when the text formatted with a heading style, number style, or bullet style is in either a table or in a text box.


WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, place the text formatted with a heading style, number style, or bullet style outside the table or text box.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
