WD2000: DMM: How to Find Version Information

SUMMARY

Microsoft Direct Mail Manager does not have an option on the Help menu for About Microsoft Direct Mail Manager (the location where product version information is usually displayed).

Because Microsoft Direct Mail Manager is a wizard, it does not have menus or toolbars. To see the version information for Microsoft Direct Mail Manager, double-click the black title bar across the top of the wizard where the words "Microsoft Direct Mail Manager" appear.

Microsoft Direct Mail Manager ships with three Microsoft Word wizards and one template to assist you with creating direct mail documents. The following wizards and template are installed by Direct Mail Manager.

NOTE: These wizards and templates are located, by default, in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\SBT\DMM\Templates
To locate the version information for the wizards, follow these steps:
  1. Start Direct Mail Manager.


  2. In Microsoft Word, on the File menu, click Open.


  3. In the Open dialog box, open the folder where the Direct Mail Manager wizards are located. The default location is


  4. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\SBT\DMM\Templates
  5. In the Files Of Type box, select All Files.


  6. Click the wizard and click Open.


  7. On the File menu, click Properties.


  8. Click the Custom tab.


The version information is listed under Properties.
