SYMPTOMSAfter you save a Word document containing text formatted as small caps as a Web page and then resave the Web page document as a Word document, text formatted as small caps is now formatted as all caps. CAUSE
Microsoft Word does not retain the small caps formatting information when you resave the Web page as a Word document. WORKAROUNDAfter you save your Web page as a Word Document (*.doc) (on the File menu, click Save As), reapply small caps to the text that you want to appear as small caps, using the following steps:

When you save a Word 2000 document as a Web page, Word warns you with the message "Some of the features in this document aren't supported by Web browsers" and shows you a summary of the features that are not supported and how they appear in a Web browser.
