SYMPTOMSWhen you edit or paste an object with rotated text, the text alignment becomes horizontal. CAUSEThis behavior is by design. Word currently does not support rotated text objects. WORKAROUNDTo work around this behavior, use either of the following methods. Method 1: Rotate the Text Inside the Object then Resize to FitYou may be able to rotate the text inside the object using the Text Box toolbar, and then resize your object to fit the realigned text. To do this, follow these steps:
Method 2: Duplicate Using Word Drawing ObjectsYou can use the Drawing toolbar in Word to duplicate the rotated object, and then align or rotate the text within using the Text Box toolbar.NOTE: To view the Text Box toolbar, point to Toolbars on the View menu, and then click Text Box. For more information about using drawing objects in Word, click Microsoft Word Help on the Help menu, type "drawing" in the Office Assistant or the Answer Wizard, and then click Search to view the topics returned.
