SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to add a file from an HTTP server while running the Web Page Wizard, the following error message appears: When you click OK, the wizard continues to run. CAUSEThe Web Page Wizard does not allow you to insert existing files from an HTTP server. RESOLUTIONTo work around this behavior, use either of the following methods: Method 1: If the File Is Available via a UNC PathOpen the file by connecting to the server using a UNC path. To do this, follow these steps:
Method 2: If the File Is Not Available via a UNC PathClick OK when you receive the message in the "Symptoms" section of this article and finish running the Web Page Wizard. In the new page, create a hyperlink to the file.For more information about creating a hyperlink, click Microsoft Word Help on the Help menu, type How to create a hyperlink in the Office Assistant or the Answer Wizard, and then click Search to view the topics returned.
