When you have a file that contains an image that you save as a Web page (HTML) and then save in Rich Text Format (RTF), the size of the image may change.
and save the file as a Web Page (*.htm, *.html), and then save the file in Rich Text Format (*.rtf), the measurements of the image change to the following:
CAUSEWhen you save your Word document as a Web Page (*.htm, *.html), Word converts the picture's original size in terms of its pixel size rather than its physical dimensions. Then, when you save the Web Page as Rich Text Format (*.rtf), the RTF converter of Word incorrectly calculates the pixel size back into the physical dimensions of the image. WORKAROUNDUse one of the following methods to work around this problem. Method 1: Change the Picture Wrapping StyleBefore you first save your document, change the wrapping style of the picture. To do so, follow these steps:
Method 2: Save File as a Word DocumentWhen you first save your document, save it in Microsoft Word format (on the File menu, click Save As and change the Save as type box to Word Document (*.doc)). Then use the Word document to save either as a Web Page (on the File menu, click Save as Web Page) or save as Rich Text Format (on the File menu, click Save As and then change the Save as type box to Rich Text Format (*.rtf)).STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
