When you open a Word 2000 document that was saved as WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS (*.doc), table borders either are lost or are changed to something different. WORKAROUNDAfter you open the document that was saved as WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS, reapply the table borders before (or after) you resave the file as a Word document.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
