SYMPTOMSWhen you open your document outside of Word--for example, you double-click a document in a folder--and the document contains an AutoOpen macro or contains Visual Basic for Applications commands in the Document_Open event of the document, the macro fails to run as expected. CAUSE
Your document may be a frames page. Table of Contents in Frame WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, open the frames document from within Word. The AutoOpen macro or Document_Open event works as expected opening the document from within Word. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
