WD2000: Personal Distribution List Missing When Merging with Personal Address Book

SYMPTOMS

When you specify to Use Address Book and select your Personal Address Book in a Word mail merge, Word may not merge to the contacts in your personal distribution list.


CAUSE

Your personal distribution list was not created in your Personal Address Book (PAB).


RESOLUTION

To create your personal distribution list in your Personal Address Book, use the following steps:

  1. In Microsoft Outlook, click Address Book on the Tools menu.


  2. On the File menu, click New Entry.


  3. In the Select the entry type box, click to select Personal Distribution List.


  4. In the Put this entry in the box, select Personal Address Book.


  5. Click OK.


Complete your personal distribution list as you do normally by typing a name for the distribution list and adding members.
