SYMPTOMS
When you convert your custom template (or Normal.dot when you upgrade) to Microsoft Word 2000, custom menu changes (menu items or separator bars) may be lost or moved to a different location on the menu. CAUSEThe number of menu items and their locations have changed between Word 6.0, Word 95 (7.0), and Word 2000. After your custom template (or Normal.dot) has been converted to Word 2000, edit your menus and move (or add back) the menu items to the positions where you want them to appear.
