In Internet Explorer 5, when you open a Word document containing either a hyperlink or a cross-reference to a bookmark in the same or a different document (page), Word opens the document and goes to the top of the first page. WORKAROUNDSave the Word document from Internet Explorer and then open the file in Microsoft Word. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
