SYMPTOMS
When you change your picture editor in Word and then try to edit an existing picture in a document, the new picture editor is not used for editing the picture. Instead, the picture editor used is the one used to edit the picture previously.
CAUSE
This behavior is by design. When you edit a picture with a picture editor, the picture becomes associated with its editor. { EMBED Word.Picture.8 } If you edit a picture using Microsoft Photo Editor and then press ALT+F9 to view the field code of the picture, you see the following field: { EMBED MSPhotoEd.3 } WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, you must unlink the picture field to change the picture editor used for a picture previously edited in a document.
