SYMPTOMS
When you press SHIFT+F3 to change the case of text that has been commented, the yellow shading may disappear. Also, when you rest the mouse over the comment, you do not see the ScreenTip for the comment. If non-formatting characters are hidden, all visual cues identifying the location of your comment will disappear, but the comment will be retained. WORKAROUND
Because the shading used by the comment functionality is a special shading that is not visible when your file is printed or previewed, you should not apply highlighting to the comment unless you want the highlight to be printed.
