The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Word 2000

SUMMARY

Microsoft Word 2000 is available in two versions: a retail version that you can install on any compatible computer and an upgrade version that requires that a qualifying product be installed on your computer or that Disk 1 of the qualifying product be available when you run the Setup program.

Microsoft Word 2000 has very few qualifying products that allow you to upgrade without purchasing the full retail version of Microsoft Word. This article lists the qualifying products that are required if you want to install the upgrade version.

NOTE: The full retail version of Microsoft Word 2000 does not require a qualifying product to install.
