SYMPTOMS
When you open a document containg a table with table border formatting, the right borders of some cells may change or disappear when the file is opened. CAUSE
This problem occurs when both of the following conditions are met:
Word 2000 uses the right border formatting of the leftmost of the cells that the merged cell was created from, instead of the right border of the merged cell. The problem also occurs when the document was created in one of the applications listed above, then edited in Microsoft Word 6.0, Microsoft Word 95, or Microsoft Word 97 before it was opened in Word 2000. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed
