WD2000: Cannot Set Picture Absolute Position the First Time

SYMPTOMS

After you insert a picture and set the attributes of the picture to an absolute position, the picture does not go to the position that you want. When you check the attributes for the picture, different settings than what you specified are retained.


WORKAROUND

Set the picture position a second time using the following steps:

  1. With the picture selected, click Picture on the Format menu.


  2. On the Layout tab, click to select the Wrapping style you want and then click Advanced.


  3. On the Picture Position tab, in the Horizontal and Vertical sections, change the Absolute position boxes to the settings you want, and then click OK.


  4. Click OK to close the Format Picture dialog box.



STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
