SUMMARYIn Word, different multilevel numbering schemes can be used in one document. To restart the numbering from a certain number, there must be an unnumbered paragraph before the group of paragraphs you want to renumber. To have two groups of paragraphs with different numbering formats, a section break must be inserted between the two groups. To choose a numbering scheme select the Format menu, choose Bullets and Numbering and select the Numbered tab. MORE INFORMATION
If a series of paragraphs are formatted with multilevel numbering, each
paragraph will be numbered sequentially. There is no way to restart
the numbering without inserting an unnumbered paragraph between the
two groups of paragraphs that you want numbered separately. For
