SYMPTOMSParagraph borders appear cut off when applied to a paragraph that begins at the bottom of a page and continues at the top of the next page. The borders are cut off when viewing the document in page layout or print preview and when printing the document. CAUSEBy design, borders are a paragraph property that flows with the paragraph. When a paragraph formatted with a box border continues onto the second page, the top border appears over the first line of the paragraph at the bottom of the first page, and the bottom border appears at the end of the paragraph on the subsequent page. WORKAROUNDMethod 1: Move the bordered paragraph so that it fits on one page:Method 2: Insert a paragraph mark just before the page breaks, then format each paragraph with a box border.Method 3: Word 6.0, 7.0, 97: Place the text in a table cell formatted to break across pages.
