How to Sort Table Cells Continuously by Row

ID: Q116218

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Word for Windows, versions 6.0, 6.0a

SUMMARY

This article describes how to sort from the top left to the bottom right cell of a table, such as in the following example:

   ---------------------------------------------
   | Access | DOS | Excel |
   ---------------------------------------------
   | Fox Pro | NT | Power Point |
   ---------------------------------------------
   | Windows | Word | Works |
   ---------------------------------------------
To do this, you must first convert the table to text so that Word performs the sort based on paragraphs.
