SYMPTOMS
When you choose Examples and Demos from the Help menu, the online example
or demo may hang (stop responding) if the demo clicks the mouse on another
application that is running on top of the demo.
CAUSEThe online examples and demonstrations in Word are not simulations; they are automated demonstrations of real Word operations. So when the demo performs a mouse click, it is a "real" mouse click, just as if you'd manually clicked the mouse yourself. As with a "real" mouse click, the demo mouse click activates the window in which you click. WORKAROUND
Before you run an online example or demonstration in Word, make sure no
programs, such as How To help screens, clocks, or the MOM toolbar, are
running on top of your desktop.
