SYMPTOMSWhen you update an equation created from the Equation Editor, the equation field may resize to an incorrect, usually smaller, point size. CAUSEThis behavior occurs in table cells where the cell height is set to an exact height that is smaller than the font size used to create the equation, or where the cell width is smaller than the width of the equation. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word versions 6.0 and 6.0a for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. WORKAROUND
If the object resizes to a smaller size after you update it, manually
resize it:
