SYMPTOM
When you print a selection that contains part of a series of numbered
paragraphs, Word for Windows may renumber the selection (only in the
printout) starting with 1. For example, if you select the portion of your
document that contains paragraphs numbered 5 through 9, Word resets the
numbering so 1 through 5 appears on the printout.
CAUSEWord resets numbering in the context of each selection you print. STATUSWe are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, insert a page break before and after the section you want to print, position the insertion point on this page, and then print the current page. Word will print the page without resetting the numbering. Additional query words: 6.00 6.00a renumbers renumbering number word6 winword numbering numbers reset incorrect selection print
