Spell Check Shortcut Keys Change After Delete

SYMPTOMS

The shortcut key combination for Change All in the Spelling dialog box may change from ALT+L to ALT+H. This behavior occurs after deleting a duplicate word, such as deleting the second "quick" in the following example,

The quick quick brown fox
When this functionality changes, the ALT+H combination will no longer access Help. You will still be able to access Help by choosing the Help button.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word for Windows versions 6.0. This problem was corrected in Word version 6.0a for Windows.


RESOLUTION

You can use the ALT+H combination to Change All or you can choose the Change All button. Word Help can be accessed by choosing the Help button.
