SYMPTOMSIf you change the Copies setting in the printer driver to print multiple copies and then change the Copies setting in the File Print dialog box in Word for Windows to 1, only one copy comes out of the printer (this behavior is different from that of Word 2.x for Windows). Furthermore, the next time you choose Print from the File menu in Word, the Copies setting will be the same as the Copies setting in the printer driver. CAUSEWord for Windows overrides the printer driver settings. For example, if you set the Copies to 4 in the printer driver, the Copies setting in Word is 4 unless you change it; then the Word setting overrides the printer driver setting. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Word listed above. This problem was corrected in Windows 95.
