Table Header and "Keep With Next" Causes Infinite Repagination

ID: Q121710

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Word for Windows, versions 6.0, 6.0a, 6.0c

SYMPTOMS

You experience infinite repagination in a document that contains a table longer than two pages when the table rows are formatted for Keep With Next and the table contains a Heading Row. The status bar will be displayed, incrementing page numbers and eventually may display asterisks, for example, "*****/*****" (without the quotation marks).

This behavior does not occur in Word for Windows NT or Word 6.0 for the Macintosh.

STATUS

We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
