-or-
Setup Error in Finalize pass: Object ID 72: DstDir's Obj ID is not valid.

CAUSE

The first error indicates that the USER-DOT-PATH in the WINWORD6.INI file does not specify a path for your templates.

The second error indicates that the STARTUP-PATH directory is not specified, points to a read-only drive, or is missing.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Assistant for Word for Windows versions 1.0, and 1.0z. This problem was corrected in Internet Assistant version 2.0 for Word for Windows 95.

RESOLUTION

Using a text editor such as Notepad, edit the WINWORD6.INI file. In the [Microsoft Word] section, modify the USER-DOT-PATH and the STARTUP-PATH statements to include the paths to the subdirectories. These lines should look something like this:

   USER-DOT-PATH=C:\WINWORD\TEMPLATE
   STARTUP-PATH=C:\WINWORD\STARTUP
