SUMMARY

Microsoft Internet Assistant for Word supports the following services:


   HTTP         HyperText Transport Protocol. Manages hypertext
                information across the Internet.

   FTP          File Transfer Protocol. Allows file transfers.

   Gopher       A menu-driven system for accessing text information. 
Internet Assistant does not support the following:

   Mailto       Used to send electronic mail.

   WAIS         Wide Area Information Service. Allows searching through
                large indexed databases.

   Telnet       Allows connections to remote computers. Everything you
                type at the keyboard is passed on to the other computer.

   Usenet News  Allows access to news groups or discussion groups.
