SYMPTOMSWhen you type a large number in a Form Field, the number changes. For example, if you type the number 2222333344445555the result is: 2222333344445600Furthermore, if you type more than 256 numbers, Word converts them all to zeros. CAUSEForm Fields keep track of 14 significant digits. All other numbers after the fourteenth digit are converted to zeros. Form Fields cannot hold more than 256 numbers. WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use either of the following methods.
STATUSThis behavior occurs when the form field type is Number, and any Number format is selected. This problem was corrected in Word version 7.0 for Windows 95. MORE INFORMATIONThe maximum number of digits that can be typed in a form field is 256. The maximum number of non-numeric characters that can be typed in a form field is 32767. Additional query words:
