SHIFT+F5 (Go Back) Not Functioning with Internet Assistant

SYMPTOMS

Pressing SHIFT+F5 or Ctrl+Alt+Z (to go back to the previous editing location) in Internet Assistant does not move the insertion point to the previous editing location.

CAUSE

Internet Assistant disables the Go Back keyboard command for its GO BACK function.

WORKAROUND

Method 1: Choose Macros from the Tools menu. Type GoBack and ensure that the "Macros Available in:" box reads "Normal.dot (Global Template)". Click on the Edit button. Proceed by choosing Close from the File menu and by answering "Yes" to save the macro changes.

Method 2: Use a bookmark to return to a previous location. To do this, position your insertion point where you want the bookmark, then from the Edit menu, choose Bookmark. Type a unique name for the bookmark and choose OK. You can then press CTRL+G or F5 to bring up the Go To dialog box, select your bookmark, and choose the Go To button.

Method 3: Temporarily disable the WIAHTM32.DLL file. To do this, click Templates on the File menu, clear the WIAHTM32.DLL option in the Global Templates and Add-Ins list, and then click OK.
