SYMPTOMSWhen choosing the Save icon on the Standard toolbar or selecting Save from the File menu the first time you save a file based on the HTML template, the default file type is Word Document instead of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). This behavior does not occur when you choose Save As from the File menu nor when you perform subsequent saves to your document. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Assistant for Word for Windows versions 1.0, and 1.0z. This problem was corrected in Internet Assistant version 2.0 for Word for Windows 95. WORKAROUNDSMethod 1From the File menu, choose Save As.Method 2Use the following macro, and then assigned it to a button, menu, or shortcut key:
