SYMPTOMSWhen you duplex print a converted WordPerfect document in Microsoft Word, one or more pages may not print duplexed; that is, the page prints only on one side. CAUSEThe problem occurs when you print the document using a Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet IID, IIID, or IIISi printer driver. The WordPerfect converter supplied with Word 6.0 converts the page numbering into a page field that is placed inside a text box (drawing object) in the header or footer. When you print a drawing object, Word sends a form feed command to the printer, not allowing the printer to print on the back of the page containing the drawing object. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. WORKAROUNDSMethod 1: After you convert the document, first remove the text box (this also removes the page number inside the text box), and then reinsert the page number.Method 2: If the HP LaserJet IIISi has the PostScript option installed, change the printer driver to HP IIISi PostScript before you print the document. For additional information on duplex printing documents that contain drawing objects, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: Q112251 Drawing Objects Not Duplexing on LJIID or LJIIISiFor more information on printing converted WordPerfect documents, query on the following words in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: convert and print and wordperfect Additional query words: 6.00a 6.00c word6 Hewlett Packard 3si II-d III-si winword wp winprint ljiid ljiiid ljiiisi convert conversion converts converted converting translation translate translates translated translating transfer transfers transferred transferring
