There are several ways to work around this problem.
Close the worksheet in Microsoft Excel before trying to insert it as an object in Word.Method 2: Instead of using the Insert Object feature in Word, copy the worksheet in Microsoft Excel to the Clipboard and then paste it into Word. It will still come in as an embedded object.Method 3: The following procedure will also correct the problem if it is necessary that the file be open in Microsoft Excel: Additional query words: 7.0 word95 word7 part partial incomplete missing contents sheet winword
