SYMPTOMS

If you create a WordArt object that uses one of the following shapes, clicking the Even Height (Ee) button won't change the height of the character:

Arch Up (Curve)
Arch Down (Curve)
Circle (Curve)
Button (Curve)
In other circumstances, clicking the Even Height button causes every character to be stretched and moved to be the same height and have the same baseline.

RESOLUTION

If you want to use this special effect, use the following WordArt shapes instead of the ones listed above:

Arch Up (Pour)
Arch Down (Pour)
Circle (Pour)
Button (Pour)
The Even Height button does work correctly with these shapes.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
