SYMPTOMSAfter you insert a Microsoft PowerPoint slide object into a Word document, you cannot change the orientation of the slide using Word's in-place editing capabilities. CAUSE
PowerPoint uses the internal defaults for new presentations using the
Template, Pick A Look Wizard, or AutoContent Wizard options. The
orientation and size information is not supplied from the specified
template file, but from the internal PowerPoint defaults. Word 7.0 is
relying on PowerPoint[ASCII 146]s internal defaults by design.
RESOLUTION
To change the orientation of your slide object, use one of the following
methods:
Create the slide in PowerPoint, then insert the slide object in your Word document.
