SYMPTOMSWhen you attach a document to a template that exists in the same directory as the document, Word does not allow you to attach a different template with the same name as the current template. MORE INFORMATIONMicrosoft Word allows you to change which template is attached to a document. This feature allows you to use certain attributes of other templates in a document. The sharable attributes of templates are Macros, AutoText, Styles, and Toolbars. ExampleIf a particular template contains an AutoText entry that you want to use, you can attach that template to the current document.
