SYMPTOMSWhen you insert a table in a text column, you may receive unexpected results for the width of the table. CAUSEThe table was inserted into a text column with a different width as compared to the width of another text column. Word bases the width of the table on the dimensions of the smallest text column to ensure that the table will fit into any column even if a column break is deleted. This behavior is by design.
