Internet Assistant uses an undocumented registry entry called ShowTableTags that controls the display of the blue asterisk that you see when you work with tables.

   \Hkey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Word\InternetAssistant 
The data (or Dword) values are listed in the following table.

   Value      Meaning
   ---------------------------------------------------

   0          Do not show any table tags.

   1          Show entire hidden HTML table tags.

   2          Show the blue asterisk placeholder for hidden HTML tags.
              This is the default setting.
