IA: Unlinked Image Retains Border When Border Size Set to Zero

SYMPTOMS

A hyperlinked image retains a border even after you unlink it. This problem does not affect how your document displays in another browser, such as Netscape or Internet Explorer.

CAUSE

You specified a display border in the picture Options dialog box. For example, you set the border size to zero pixels. (To locate this dialog box, click Picture on the Insert menu.)

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Internet Assistant for Word, version 2.0z. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

WORKAROUND

Clear the Display Border check box. If you do not want a border around your image, do not select the Display Border check box.

When you create a hyperlink to an image, Internet Assistant displays the image with a blue outline to indicate that it is a hyperlink. This blue border does not appear in web browsers, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape. When you unlink the image, Internet Assistant removes the blue outline.
