SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Replace command (on the Edit menu) to replace a custom style with another style, the text reformatted first may retain some of the formatting from the original style. WORKAROUNDWhen the replace procedure is finished, select the text that retained the old formatting and reapply the style. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Word 7.0 and Word 97 for Windows.
